The way that WSG does a deep dive into the history and culture mixed with the wine knowledge is unique and makes it more entertaining to learn.

The FWS course provided a comprehensive and engaging view into the complex world of French wine. The integration of the culture the history and the landscape brought it all together. The wide range of study materials and different modes of delivery (book maps lectures eLearning quizzes flash cards supplemental materials) were extremely helpful.

I have been in the wine industry for 20 years but there was so much I didnt know. It was a really fun experience to learn new things through this program. The accompanying online material was visual and made me feel like I was traveling. Thank you for a truly enjoyable learning experience.

The French Wine Scholar course is the best wine certification course I have taken. The textbook is extremely well organized and well written and the online materials are of very high quality. Questions on the forum are answered quickly and competently.
Before this I took the CMS Intro Sommelier course WSET3 and the Certified Specialist of Wine course. All of these have their good points but in my opinion none compare in quality to FWS.

A challenging subject which is supported by excellent materials both online and in hard copy. The segmentation of sections for each region gives a firm grounding in the important factors influencing it. Flashcards and quiz for each section really solidify the information.

I have completed both the Spanish Wine Scholar and French Wine Scholar programs and although the depth of information is vast the quality of resources available make it manageable. You need to put in the hard work and study time to get through it all but there is no question that I gained a much deeper understanding of those 2 classic wine regions.

My goal for taking this course was to be more knowledgeable about French wine. I had not really drank French wine and now with the knowledge I have gained I am better prepared to make wine choices and I am ready experiment and try different wines.

Having already completed the excellent Italian Wine Scholar and Master Bourgogne courses the addition of the French Wine Scholar course exceeded my expectations in regards to enhancing the wine knowledge I am seeking build. I would deem this course be considered essential for those who seriously want to learn about wine and its history.
